Mrs. Mercedes Ortiz teaches fourth grade at St. Rose of Lima Catholic School. She brings three years of experience in public elementary education and holds a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from Texas Tech University.

A proud graduate of St. Pius X High School, Ms. Ortiz is excited to return to Catholic education as a teacher. She is passionate about helping young learners thrive academically and grow in confidence, curiosity, and character.

Outside the classroom, Ms. Ortiz enjoys traveling, going on cruises, scuba diving, and needlepointing.
