Admisssions Policy
St. Rose of Lima Catholic School follows the Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston Admission policies. Acceptance of new students into the St. Rose school community is based on available opportunities in each grade level, and developmental, scholastic, and behavioral qualifications of the applicant determined through the application documentation and school admission’s assessment. All new students are admitted on a probationary basis, according to the Archdiocesan policy. Disclosure of significant confidential information, which may affect a student’s educational success and goals, must be shared with the administration. Sharing includes: diagnostic evaluations, medications, and specific family situations. Failure to disclose pertinent information may result in subsequent dismissal.
Age Requirements
Children must have reached the following ages on or before September 1:
Age 3, if entering Pre-Kindergarten 3
Age 4, if entering Pre-Kindergarten 4
Age 5, if entering Kindergarten
Age 6, if entering First Grade
Placement Criteria:
Current students enrolled at St. Rose applying for re-enrollment
Siblings of students enrolled at St. Rose
Current students enrolled at the Early Childhood Center
